Privacy Policy

Effective September 22, 2026

Who we are

Obell Trading is operated by Owen Schmahl. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit obelltrading.com, create an account, purchase membership, or contact support.

Information we collect

Account information includes your email address, account identifier, authentication information, and membership status. Our authentication provider handles your password and login session.

Billing information includes Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status, and access dates. Stripe collects payment details directly. Obell Trading does not store your full card number or card security code.

Support information includes messages and attachments you choose to email us. Technical information can include IP address, browser or device details, request times, pages or endpoints requested, and error logs collected by our hosting and service providers.

We also collect limited first-party usage information: the page path visited, the referring website host when available, the time of the visit, and a randomly generated browser-session identifier. We use this information in aggregate to understand site traffic, checkout activity, and promotion performance. It is not used for cross-site advertising.

How we use information

We use information to create and authenticate accounts, provide membership access, process subscriptions, manage cancellation, answer support requests, troubleshoot errors, prevent misuse, and meet applicable legal and recordkeeping obligations. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, this processing supports our contract with you, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, legal obligations, or consent where required.

Service providers and sharing

We share information needed to operate the service with Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage; Stripe for payments and billing; Vercel for website hosting and request processing; and Zoho Mail for customer support email. These providers process information under their own applicable terms and privacy policies.

We may disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and security, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies and browser storage

We use browser storage and authentication tokens to keep you signed in, manage your session, and hold a random session identifier used for first-party traffic measurement. Stripe and other service providers may use cookies or similar technology for payment processing, fraud prevention, and their own service functions. Blocking or clearing necessary storage can sign you out, reset traffic measurement, or prevent parts of the service from working.

Retention and security

We retain information as needed to provide your account and membership, resolve support issues and disputes, protect the service, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Retention varies with the type of information and purpose. Deleting an account may not immediately remove records that must be kept for those purposes or copies in provider backups.

We use HTTPS, authentication, and access controls to protect information and restrict member content. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and requests

You can manage payment details and cancel membership through Account & Billing. Email support@obelltrading.com to request access, correction, or deletion of your account information. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or to complain to a data protection authority. We may verify your identity before acting and retain information where law permits or requires it.

If you want both account deletion and subscription cancellation, tell us explicitly so we can address both. Removing browser data or logging out does not cancel billing.

International processing and children

Our service providers may process information outside your state or country, including in the United States, subject to their applicable data-protection arrangements. The service is intended for adults 18 and older. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Policy updates

We may update this policy as our practices change. We will update the effective date and provide notice of material changes where required by applicable law.
